ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Univision Arizona is looking for a Board Operator – Production Assistant to join our team! The position requires interaction with clients, listeners, and the public during off site promotional activities. Individuals may be required to serve as Master of Ceremonies for public and/or private events and are required to represent our organization in a welcoming and positive manner. Candidate must actively contribute to our digital, radio, and TV platforms with the same enthusiasm and sense of urgency across all mediums.

 

ABOUT YOU:

You are a sociable, organized, and motivated person who has passion for our brand, informing, entertaining, and engaging listeners in the Phoenix area.

 

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Assist in organization and execution of all station promotions, events, and community support activities.
Perform a live broadcast show that is entertaining and informative.
Comment on music and other matters, such as weather, lifestyle, and traffic relevant to our coverage area.
Select and prepare program content: Gather new stories, audio, and write content for the show.
Execution of TV and Radio interviews with show guests, such as artists, clients, community guests and expand on their lives, their work, and topics of current interest.
Liaise with Content and Programming Teams to determine suitable content when needed.
Announce and record station breaks, commercials, and public service announcements.
Acts as host and/or make promotional appearances at public or private events representing the Station. Events such as Van Hits, Remotes, Station Presence, Town Halls, Charitable, Community, etc.
Copy writing of promotional spots and translation of documents such as commercial copy, letters, as needed.
Assist in the branding of the station via music, imaging, social media, and special events.
Produce audiovisual content for digital and social media platforms, including but not limited to, Web site, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok and Snapchat.
Establish a strong and effective relationship with the station’s Sales team and clients.
Help to activate at remotes and live events – setting up tent, table and interacting with audience.
Production knowledge desired – ability to provide technical production and promotional support for live broadcasts, news and commercial productions including TV, radio, digital, social media, and local events.
Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.
YOU HAVE:

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Mass Communication experience, preferably in
Spanish language television/radio.
Must possess impeccable diction and excellent pronunciation in the Spanish language.
Excellent communication skills.
Coachable, open minded and unbiased.
Proficiency in usage of social media platforms, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
Pleasant and well-controlled voice and good timing when speaking on air.
Able to read, analyze and interpret all written and oral information received.
Socially informed and perceptive, up to date and in tune daily with local and national current
events as well as listeners lifestyles.
Knowledgeable in popular Latin music genres and other genres as well: Regional Mexican, Pop,
Spanish Contemporary, Spanish Urban, etc.
Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office and knowledge of Audio Software such as Adobe Audition
and Zetta.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays – flexible schedule.
Must have excellent organizational skills and able to work with tight deadlines.
Must be able to drive and have a valid Arizona driver’s license with a good driving record.
