Morning Show Co-Host

KAZT-TV Channel 7 in the Phoenix (Prescott) DMA has an immediate opening for an on-camera personality to co-host on our daily, live morning program – Arizona Daily Mix.

We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual who is an excellent on-camera communicator. We want a storyteller that can approach each topic with enthusiasm and from an angle that engages the viewer. Must be able to present the day’s information with authenticity and in a conversational tone, as well as find the ‘smile’ for the audience in every story.

Experience in broadcast journalism as an on-air host, reporter or anchor preferred.

Position summary:

The successful candidate will be part of a two-person morning team that works closely with the executive producer and station account executives to produce/present topics. You will be required to do segments in the studio and in the field, both live and pre-recorded. Research, pitch and present material that relates to our target audience. Work performed is for all media platforms: on-air, web, digital, social media, and video presentations.

You will also be responsible for writing, producing/hosting news, weather, and sports updates that will air in all day-parts. Maintaining strong social media skills with an active presence. As an ambassador of the station, community and promotional appearances are also part of your job responsibilities.
