Active Shooter Training for Broadcasters

The ABA will host a custom-built active shooter training on Wednesday, December 4 for broadcasters who cover (or work at) big community events.

We want to give Arizona journalists, marketers, and station representatives the best advice to protect themselves. We want to equally ensure that broadcasters understand the critical role their airwaves will play if an active shooter is on the loose in their community. The ABA is offering this 2-hour, in-person lunch training to all member stations at no cost. The ABA will also cover lunch for all those who attend. The event will be hosted by Arizona law enforcement.

The training will be hosted strategically near a freeway in Phoenix to ensure it’s easy for stations outside of Phoenix to send representatives.
