TV Station Deal Volume Jumps to $297M in 3Q
The value of TV stations sold in the third quarter nearly tripled to $297.4 million, according to data gathered by Kagan. Kagan, a media research group within S&P Global Market Intelligence, found 32 deals involving TV stations, with 23 full power and 23 lower stations changing hands.
Understanding the C-band Proceeding
The C-band is a swath of satellite spectrum that radio and TV broadcasters use every day to receive critical content for their broadcasts. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is currently considering transferring some or all of that spectrum to wireless companies for next-generation wireless services.
