SiriusXM to Buy Pandora for $3.5 Billion in Bid to Expand Reach
The satellite radio provider SiriusXM said on Monday that it would acquire the music streaming service Pandora Media for $3.5 billion, in a bid to corral listeners who don’t want to pay for premium channels.
Nielsen Brings Cross-Platform Ad Measurement to Local Markets
Nielsen said it is bringing its Total Audience measurement of ads and content to all 210 local markets. The new local measurement system combines Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings, Total Ad Rating and Digital Content Ratings.

With radio delivering a better ROI, Pittman argued that AM/FM is underpriced – and under-appreciated – by advertisers. But technology and data may help change the attribution obstacle.

John David graciously accepted the 2018 National Radio Award at the Radio Luncheon during the 2018 Radio Show in Orlando Wednesday.
