Life-size Bronze Tribute of Wallace, Ladmo & Gerald to be Unveiled at the Phoenix Zoo

The following is a press release from the Wallace and Ladmo Foundation:

Guests who wear Wallace & Ladmo fan gear receive a 50 percent discount on general Zoo admission all day

PHOENIX (September 10, 2018) – A tribute bench depicting the beloved characters of the longest running kids show in Valley history, Wallace & Ladmo, will be unveiled at the Phoenix Zoo, Monday, September 17, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. near the Zoo’s main lake.

The much-anticipated bronze sculpture of Wallace, Ladmo and Gerald will serve as a multi-generational gathering place for guests of the Zoo and fans of the show. Guests to the Zoo that day, will receive fifty percent off general daytime admission if they wear their Wallace & Ladmo fan gear! Discount is only applicable Monday, September 17, 2018.

There will be short program with the following individuals, all of whom will be available for interviews after the ceremony.

WHO: Pat McMahon – played “Gerald” among other various characters

Bert Castro – President and CEO of the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation/Phoenix Zoo

The sculptor, Arizona artist Neil Logan, will also be in attendance.

WHEN: Monday, September 17, 2018 9:30 a.m.

Near the Zoo’s main lake, across from the Greater flamingos and zebra habitat

WHERE: Phoenix Zoo (455 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85008)

WHAT ELSE: Media are invited to attend to gather video, stills and conduct interviews with those listed above. Please let me know if you will be sending a representative from your outlet so I can plan for transportation to the sculpture unveiling near the Zoo’s main lake. Please arrive no later than 9:15 a.m. if possible.
