Sports betting in Arizona remains on target to go live on September 9, opening up a huge ad category for Arizona broadcasters.

Many of you have already been able to start taking advertising dollars in promotion of this pending launch.

As each of you continue to get ad inquiries, the ABA’s best advice is to ask if the requesting group is officially licensed for sports betting by Arizona’s Department of Gaming.

That is likely to be your “green light” answer to accept advertising. As helpful, the Arizona Department of Gaming has also finalized their rules and you can read them here.

As we shared with you in April, Arizona sports betting was signed into law this spring. 

HB2772 allows professional and college sports betting at Arizona tribal casinos, at sites owned by pro sports teams, and online.
